My research focuses on solid oxide electrochemical cells, alkaline and low-temperature electrolysis, high-temperature corrosion, and protective coatings. I am particularly interested in how materials and interfaces evolve during operation—and what that means for the durability of an energy system.
I work on national and European projects that connect fundamental materials science with industrial applications. A recurring question in my work is how to make clean energy technologies more durable and cost-effective.
Research and education
Alongside research, I supervise PhD and MSc students and teach courses in materials engineering, data analysis, hydrogen technologies, and experimental design.
I am based in the Department of Functional Materials Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology, where I serve as Associate Professor and Deputy Head of Department.
